As an independent practice, we are free to use a wide range of suppliers allowing us to successfully fit almost any prescription and any age group with contact lenses.  We recommend that you ask us for advice about the type of lenses that would suit you best. 

Daily Disposables

Since these lenses are designed to be worn once daily and then thrown away, they are great for busy individuals who do not have time for the normal soft lens regime of cleaning, disinfecting and storing.  They are also perfect for occasional wear such as sport, holidays or special occasions. 

Daily disposable lenses are available to correct long sightedness, short sightedness and astigmatism.  They are even available in multifocal prescriptions to correct both distance and near vision. 

Regular Replacement lenses

Perhaps the most cost-effective lens type is the planned replacement lens. Often, this will be a two-week or monthly cycle where the lens is removed at the end of every day, cleaned and stored safely overnight.  Most of these reusable lenses are made from a modern silicon hydrogel material allowing high levels of oxygen to reach the cornea which is necessary for continued eye health and comfort. They correct long sightedness short sightedness and astigmatism and are available as multifocal too.

Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses

These lenses can take a little longer to get used to and initially are not as comfortable, but they have the advantage of not needing to be replaced as regularly as soft lenses. They are also suitable for a much larger range of prescription types.

Multi focal contact lenses

There are now contact lenses in multi focal format for those of us who need a different prescription for distance and near.  They can be supplied as monthly, two weekly and even daily lenses.
